Travel AdventuresEver since late 2006, when my youngest son moved out to live with his girlfriend and hit me with an unexpected case of "empty nest syndrome," I've been nurturing the too long deferred desire to travel and have some international adventures. I vacationed in Mexico in the 1990s, shot a documentary in Central America in the 1980s, and visited Guam, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam when I was in the navy. Now, more than ever, I'm ready to see the world. Forest, a fellow traveler on my first trip really inspired me. He had two more countries to visit on his itinerary and only one open visa spot on his passport. It made me decide that I'd like to see if I can fill up my passport too.
